The Thule Aion Travel Backpack 40L features a removable rolltop bag and has the maximum capacity still classified as carry-on compliant, making it well suited to air travel. The rolltop's TPU lining keeps odor, moisture, and dirt from spreading to the rest of the bag — easy to clean and ideal for sports gear or dirty clothes.
Dedicated storage protects a 15.6" laptop or 16" MacBook and a 12.9" tablet, plus a zippered top pocket for small items and a dedicated water bottle pocket. Internal compression straps keep items secure in transit, and exterior zipper sliders can be locked together for added security. It's compatible with the Thule Aion Sling Bag (sold separately), which doubles as a supportive hip belt.
The shell fabric, lining, and mesh are made from 100% recycled materials, with a durable 600D waxed canvas shell that's water-resistant and PFC-free.
